Screening assesses child’s development  in the following areas: 

• Speech and Language

• Large and small muscles

• Academic Concepts

• Self help skills

• Social emotional skills

• Hearing and Vision

If your child would benefit from support in one or more areas listed above, a referral is made with parent consent to the appropriate child development specialist with:

• Idaho Infant/Toddler Program - For Ages Birth to 3 yrs

• Boundary County School District-Early Childhood Program - For Ages 3 and 4 yrs

• NIC Head Start - For Ages 3 and 4 yrs

Boundary County School District#101 is also responsible for identification of school age children with special needs or disabilities.  Please contact the Special Education Department at (208)267-7962.
