Thank you parents/guardians for your support and dedication to the educational process during the 2020-2021 school year. We were very fortunate that our students were able to attend the majority of the year in person. As you begin to plan for the 2021-2022 school year, please consider the following options provided by our school district:
Option 1: In-Person Learning
Students will attend school in person. School will be in session full days. Schedules will be posted on individual school websites August 1st.
Option 2: Remote Learning
Remote learning through BCSD will only be offered through IDLA. A site coordinator from BCSD will sign students up for classes and monitor progress. Chromebooks can be checked out from your assigned school for students to use during the school year. What IDLA looks like at each level is described below. Applications can be found on our district webpage at www.bcsd101.com or can be picked up from the district office. Completed applications need to be returned to the district office located at 7188 Oak Street, no later than August 31, 2021.
Kindergarten thru 5th grade
IDLA now offers K-5 ELA, math, science and social studies. They will have required time for synchronized live sessions with certified teachers. Students will still take all required state testing with their assigned school.
Middle School/ High School
Middle School/High school students are recommended to only take 4 classes through IDLA per semester. Students will have to work closely with school counselors to ensure they meet all requirements needed to pass each grade level and graduate from high school.
If you have any further questions about IDLA, please visit their website at: https://www.idahodigitallearning.org/.
Please do not hesitate to contact Andrea Fuentes at firstname.lastname@example.org or 208-267-3146, if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thank you again for all your flexibility and support! We look forward to another great school year at BCSD.
