MISSION
The Boundary County education Foundation, Inc. will strive to provide financial resources for student scholarships. educational initiatives, programs, and projects that will enhance and add to those already included in the annual Boundary county School District budget.

Mini-Grant Program
The Boundary County Education Foundation's Mini-Grant Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches that will lead to accomplishment of meeting curriculum goals and the State of Idaho's learning standards. Any staff member currently employed by the Boundary County School District is eligible. the number of awards will depend on funds available from Boundary County Foundation, Inc.
Student Scholarships & Recognition
The Boundary County Education Foundation, Inc, will look to to secure funds so that they may provide students of Boundary County School District with available resources which will support the continuation of their education and career development. the funds will also be used to recognize students' outstanding academic or career development accomplishments and achievements.
HOW WILL THE FOUNDATION SECURE FUNDS?
Funding will be secured through a number
of sources. these may include, but are not limited to the following:
Individual Donations - Corporate Donations -
Program-Specific Donations - Employee Contributions - Gifts of Appreciated Stock
- Planned Giving and Bequests
HOW CAN I GIVE A CONTRIBUTION TO THE FOUNDATION?
If you wish to promote the
development of excellence in instruction, to encourage innovation in
programming, and to ensure pride in the Boundary County School District, you can
obtain a donation from our website or district office.
If you have any questions about donating to the Boundary County
Educational Foundation, Inc. or if you would like a donation form sent to you,
please contact the Boundary County Educational foundation at (208) 267-3146, or
through the mail at P.O. Box 3207, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805.
The Boundary County Educational
Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to decline any donation that does not fit
with the Foundation's mission or by-laws.
WHO WILL LEAD THE FOUNDATION?
The Boundary County Education Foundation, Inc, will be guided by a group of Volunteer Trustees, dedicated to educational enhancement and enrichment of students and staff within the Boundary County School District community.
EXPECTATIONS OF TRUSTEES
Trustees will be asked to serve terms of one to three years. Trustees will be expected to attend regular meetings of the Board at a time and place to be determined by the Board. Trustees will recruit volunteers to sit on committees in order to carry out the mission of the Foundation.
WILL THE FONDATION AFFECT OTHER SCHOOL DISTRICT FUNDRAISING GROUPS?
The Foundation has set clear parameters when discussing how to raise funds and where the best possible funding opportunities may be found. The Foundation will keep clear lines of communication open with other Boundary County School District fund raising groups (Sports Boosters, Music Boosters, etc.) to make sure that funding sources are not being exhausted and that existing funding streams are not compromised.
WHAT IS A SCHOOL FOUNDATION?
The Internal revenue Service (IRS)
views educational foundations as tax-exempt organizations under section
501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
The new wave of school foundations is being designed to support
innovative programming and capital improvements that are not traditionally
funded through school tax dollars.

our schools.
