Special Trustee Meeting

October 31, 2005

Boundary County School District Office

 

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Boundary County School District No. 101 was convened at the above stated time and date, pursuant to authority provided by Section 33-510 and 67-2345, Idaho Code, and pursuant to affirmation by the clerk that written notice was conspicuously posted at the District Administration Office, Valley View Elementary School, Naples Elementary School, Mt. Hall Elementary School, Evergreen Elementary School, Boundary County Middle School, Bonners Ferry High School, Bonners Ferry Herald Office, and the Boundary County Courthouse on 25th  day of October 2005. Trustees had actual notice of the time and date of meeting via telephone.                                                                     

 

Present: Chairman John Lindberg, Vice-Chairman Tim Bertling and Trustees Gil Hagen and Craig Wheatley were present.  Superintendent Dr. Don Bartling was also in attendance. Trustee Tina G. Wilson and Diane Cartwright, Clerk-Treasurer were absent. Dr. Bartling took the minutes in the absence of the Clerk-Treasurer.

 

Others Present: Lucy Dukes, Bonners Ferry Herald.

 

Call to Order

3:30 p.m. Chairman John Lindberg called the Special Meeting to order.

 

Action Agenda

Correspondence/Personnel

Gil Hagen moved and Tim Bertling seconded to approve Bethany Cavender as Extended Reading Program (ERP) Mentor paid through Title 1/ERP funds, 19.5 hours per week at $11.13 per hour for 25 weeks. Motion carried.

 

Sale of Paradise Property

Tim Bertling moved and Gil Hagen seconded to sell the Paradise Valley Property “as is” to Kevin Dirks at the appraised value of $320,000.  Motion carried.  See Resolution 2005-06-03: Exhibit 1

 

Acceptance of Snow Plowing Contracts

Tim Bertling moved and Gil Hagen seconded to award snow plowing contracts for the 2005-06 winter to Rodney LePoidevin for the High School, Middle School, Valley View Elementary, Kindergarten Annex and the Bus Barn at $50.00 per hour and KG&T Septic for Naples, Evergreen and Mt. Hall Elementary Schools and Riverside High School at $55.00 per hour. Motion carried.

 

Executive Session - None was held.

 

Adjournment

3:55 p.m. Tim Bertling moved and Gil Hagen seconded to adjourn the Special Meeting. Motion carried.
