Parent-Teacher Conferences

BFHS conferences will be held in the gymnasium on Thursday, April 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 13, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Report cards will be handed out on those two days.

U of I JEMS workshop

The University of Idaho College of Engineering invites application for the Idaho Junior Engineering, Mathematics, and Science (JEMS) Summer Workshop.  This program is designed for students who have completed their junior year of high school, JEMS provides an introduction to engineering through study of engineering problems with technical and social contexts, lectures, lab exercises, field trips, guest speakers, films, computer exercises, and much more.  Students will live on campus for two weeks under JEMS counselor supervision, receive two college credits at the completion of the workshop.  Selection criteria include: three years of mathematics (grades B or better); minimum 3.0 GPA; brief resume; and a one-page essay.  Tuition is $500.00, scholarships are available.  The workshop runs from July 8-20, 2007.  Applications are due May 25, 2007.
